Pool Party Fun without Sun

Pool parties are so much fun! Unfortunately we still haven't completely warmed up over here in the Northeast. But that didn't stop us from having fun without sun! Who said you need sun to have pool party fun!? We didn't! Our birthday boy wanted to celebrate his birthday with a splash!. These kids had a much needed break from the frigid temperatures of winter in New York.
I created a festive atmosphere for the kids with lots of colorful beach balls and a fun sweets station full of pool related treats. The inspiration came from a cake I found on Pinterest. I had some fun stationery with a pool tile print created and everything was pool party ready! The tables were set with a place setting with personalized water bottles, drinking straws embellished with gummy "life preservers". Our little guest of honor had his name perched atop Adirondack chairs shaded by drinking straw umbrellas to create a custom centerpiece. At every kids party these days a sweets station is a must have! Using all of the colors in the beach balls, I created a scrumptious candy display. Some sweet treats included , "pool noodle" pretzels, custom sugar cookies, "life preserver" donuts, life savor gummies, "pool water" jello, life preserver macarons, amazing chocolate covered oreos, and cake pops among lots more! Every child went home with a box pool party themed sweet treats and a beach ball. Don't let the cold weather put a damper on your fun. We sure didn't let it stop us from enjoying a pool party

Parisian Sunflower Baby Shower

Happy New Year!

It's been a while since I've been over here on my blog.  I'm trying to stay on top of social media while being a new mom of  TWO now. So as time permits, I will stop in to give you all some updates. So...now that we are onto new year, lets get started with some new little ones that are scheduled to make their appearance  in 2015! I just love a Parisian theme, don't you?! When I was asked to create a dessert display with a Parisian theme, I jumped at the chance. Not just any Parisian theme, but there was a little spin on this theme. The baby's name will be Soliel (which btw.. I LOVE) meaning Sun in French! So Parisian Sunshine it is! I used a color palette of sunflower yellow, black and white polka dots, and stripes. I filled the table with "French themed" desserts, Eiffel Tower decor, and of course fresh Sunflowers. Take a look...

Don't mind the hole..someone taste tested these gorgeous cookies by Fourish Sweet Shop as the shot was being taken..smh

French Macaron's with Chocolate Ganache pops! And those are black bling sticks..YES Please!

Our Little Sunshine! I love the way the stationery came out! Juanita of Willow and East worked them out! Thanks Juanita!
These cake pops were to die for! I mean Perfection! Thanks to Lina of Zoe & Pea!
Photos below were taken by yours truly..

I just couldn't take the cuteness of these chocolate covered oreos! Lina is the best!

This French Madeleine tower was a labor of love by yours truly! But so worth it!

Lets not forget these French Cruller donuts with fresh sunflowers in lieu of a cake! I absolutely loved working with this theme and can't wait for another Parisian theme opportunity to present itself!
Special thanks to all of the vendors who helped to bring my vision to fruition!

Custom Party Decor

I love to incorporate unique touches to my events and parties.  In addition to custom linens, I created my own little masterpiece with just a few items from around my home to add  Flair and customize the party.
For the artwork about the fireplace, I used a picture frame, fabric, wire, wooden #2, and ribbon to customize my daughter's tea party.I added ribbon to a white picture frame and used fabric that I used throughout my design as a background.  I twisted the wire to form a teacup and covered it with ribbon, then centered it in the frame. The painted #2 (my baby girls' age) was added to the middle of the "teacup" and wha-la! a unique custom piece of art that complimented the decor.
Another custom piece which I loved was the pearl chandelier.  I spray painted a chandelier with pearl colored paint and attached  pearls to it in a looping design.
I worked perfectly with my design and really was the Flair Factor at the center of the scene!
Add unique pieces and use a little imagination to create a customized space for your event!

Kids Spring Tea Party

Paisley, Polka dot and Pearls, three looks I love! I thought it would be perfect together for a little girl's Spring Tea Party. So I ran with it for my daughter's 2nd birthday. To keep the party fresh and fun, I paired them with a vibrant palette of orange, yellow and teal. I used the perfect paisley fabric with hues of the three colors throughout my design to bring my vision to fruition. I mixed polka dots and pearl accents to complete my look. Starting with the invitation, the little guests got a peak into what they would experience.

The first impression,

The experience starts at the door with a simple fringe wreath using the paisley fabric, and wooden arrow sign.

Paisley table runners and a table cap for the desert table were made to anchor of the design. The table setting included teabag cookies and a cookie spoon to snack on. Mango peach juice was served in bottles outfitted with pearls for girls and bow ties for boys.  Napkin were wrapped with pearl napkin rings. I used boxwood ball topiary's topped mini urns as the centerpieces, mini milk pitchers also held smaller boxwood balls, and birdcages for a springtime feel.  I hung a pearl chandelier above the table for an ultra feminine touch!

Aren't these the cutest petite chivari chairs for our little ones from Petite Seats? Chairs for girls were also decked out with pearls and bows! Olive Branch Papery did a fab job designing all of the my baby girls' stationery.
A pearl chandelier is a must! Isn't it?
Every tea party should have one of these....And the piece de resistance... a vintage tea cart! I love it!

Milk shots in mini creamer pitchers!

Our Deserts Display included custom sugar cookies, cake pops, french macarons, cheesecake, jello jars, and chocolate covered strawberries.

My baby taking everything in!

My love!

I love the way the mini fabric garland cake topper turned out!

Cheesecake macarons! Delish!

The kids had a great time at the party. After "tea", we changed into comfy clothes and went outdoors for an Easter egg hunt and egg decorating!

Tea parties are always a cute idea to have for little girls, but little boys will enjoy it as well!
