Ok so, last week thought I would touch on the topic drawing fashion and fêtes together. But now I'm seeing more and more of a correlation around me everywhere. They are sooo relative, I'll highlight it in a post whenever it comes to mind. I went out to dinner with a few friends last week, and one them wore a really cute houndstooth coat. And a few minutes ago I saw a guy in a TV commercial with a houndstooth bommer jacket. How perfect is this trend for fêtes& fashion?! This print has been around forever and a day. I confess.. I own a few pieces myself. I especially love the combination of black & white with a splash of pink. Check out how she paired her houndstooth look with pink lips.

Rinse, Reuse, and Repurpose!
Save your aluminum cans! Ok so what.. call me a hoarder then... But sometimes you just never know when these babies will come in handy. :-) Hey think of it as one more way to go green.
I especially like the look of the can without the label. I'm thinking of using carnation milk cans for an Easter centerpiece. It gives off a fresh organic spring feel(at least to me).

Fêtes & Fashion: Ruffles!
Call me a girly girl if you will, cause I love ruffles! I always have my eyes on fashion fads and trends, and ruffles doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon. They've been hot for quite time. From tops, dresses, skirts, shoes.. the list goes on. Though I believe that every style isn't for everyone, I do believe if you don't want to wear it, decorate with it! Fashion can very much relate to the events and parties. So try some ruffles.. I just can't get enough of them, from Fêtes to Fashion!

Bottoms Up: Get in the St. Patty's Day "Spirit"
This one is especially for coffee lovers..
Irish Coffee
1-1/2 oz. Irish Whiskey
2 sugar cubes
Freshly-brewed coffee, dark roast
Homemade whipped cream
Ground cinnamon, optional
Preparation:
Brew a pot of your favorite dark roast coffee. Whip up heavy cream until firm, but not stiff. Do not sweeten. Heat your Irish Coffee glasses by filling them with hot water. (Always serve hot drinks in a preheated glass.)
In the heated glass, dissolve 2 sugar cubes in the fresh brewed coffee. Add Irish Whiskey. Top with a dollop of freshly-whipped cream, and for an extra kick sprinkle cinammon on top.
Try substituting your favorite spirits and liqueurs for the Irish Whiskey.
Always serve with a napkin for dabbing whipped cream moustache.
Don't serve with straws as the trick is to sip the hot coffee through the chilled whipped cream.
I'm a Martini Lover..
Baileys Irish Martini
Ingredients:
3 1/2 oz. Baileys Irish cream
3/4 oz. Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey
Shot of strong, cold coffee
Chocolate sprinkles
Preparation:
Drop some ice cubes into a shaker and pour over Baileys. Add Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey, then a shot of strong cold coffee. Shake vigorously and serve in a martini glass. Garnish with chocolate sprinkles.
