I'm always on the hunt for fun, flavorful sweets for parties and candy tables. So how about taking an all time favorite snack and making it pretty?! Popcorn would be perfect! You can find in an array of colors and flavors, homeade or gourmet! It will make a cute addition to a candy display, don't you think? Want to DIY..here's a recipe for colored popcorn..
Ingredients
3 to 4 qt. unsalted popped corn
3 c. sugar
1 c. water
Food coloring
Directions
Cook sugar and water to the hard crack stage. Add your food coloring and pour over popped corn and stir immediately and fast until it turns sugary. I use red at Christmas time. Make a batch of red and green and mix them together. Recipe from cooks.com
These popcorn balls look fun and flavorful. You can wrap them individually with colored cellophane to make an impact!
