The host of the baby boy shower I spoke about earlier loved the blue/green polka dot shower idea. So polka dots it is! Thanks for those who cosigned on the cute little dots. Amy from Stemparties said to pretent the dots are circles, so I’m taking that idea and running. Thanks Amy!. Hopefully the ideas start flowing. Hmmm adding touches of circular baby items is an idea... So I’ll have a “ball” planning this one! I will suggest a few styles for custom printed invitations. She has to settle on a design pretty quickly, as she started planning only a few weeks in advance. If you have any other suggestions please don’t hesitate to share. Thanks!
Take a look at some ideas I found online. I personally like the round invitations, it fits the theme perfectly.
The rattle is too cute, and look, a circle at the top and bottom!
Square polka dot inviations are the most economical.

Brainstorming....
This metallic ball ornament might be cute to incorporate, though the shower is after the holidays. At least it will be on sale. :-)

Event: Solar Do Minho
Happy Friday!
Earlier this week I attended an event at Solar Do Minho Banquet Center. It’s a beautiful venue. Their displays looked very appetizing. I had the opportunity of meeting a number of interesting wedding industry professionals. I had the pleasure of meeting the Cake Diva. Her personality was as vivid as her creations. It was certainly a pleasure meeting her. I took a few shots to share.

Yummy?... Nope! These weren't as tasty as they look.

Have fun with your Food
Who said you shouldn't play with your food?
Style your food! Oh yes, I have fun playing with my food! It will definitely be a conversation starter at your next party. Introduce a little whimsy when with setting up your buffet. I like to incorporate fun elements when creating my menu. Here are a few examples.

Are polka dots to girlie…?
For a “baby boy’s” shower that is? I think polka dots are girlie, but the baby shower is for a woman so shouldn’t it be girlie even though she’s having a boy? What do you think? The color scheme will be blue, green and white. I think green and blue polka dots will be cute. Here are a few pics I put together to give the host an idea of what may be in store for her. I hope she likes the polka dot theme as much as I do.

A Reason to Celebrate: Stunning at 70
This weekend I was asked to throw together a little party favor for a 70th birthday celebration. The guest of honor was a shoe fanatic in her day, so the favors were cute little “glass” slippers with 4 kisses for each guest to enjoy on their way home. The guest of honor was stunning in silver from head (literally!) to toe. Here are a few details from the party, enjoy!
The invitation was set in a shoe.
